Congratulations to Drum Major Benjamin Tan

on his Superior Plaque at USA Drum Major Camp

2009 at San Jose State!!!

Benjamin Tan started with the Riordan Band in Beginning Band as a freshman picking up the flute and moving through Intermediate Band and up into marching band as a junior and as the assistant drum major (2008-2009).

Going into his senior year, Ben is now the senior drum major for the marching band and has been dedicating his time into improving his skills and his abilities as the drum major and picking up bari saxophone for jazz band.

Ben is the second drum major from Riordan to be awarded the Superior Plaque at Drum Major Camp and also won an Excellent ribbon in Advanced conducting, an Awesome ribbon, an Excellent ribbon for drill, and a Superior Ribbon for Intermediate Spinning.

Congratulations to Ben and wishing him the best this fall!!!
