Concert Band
The Archbishop Riordan Concert Band has grown to extraordinary heights over the past couple years. The group performs at the school's Christmas and Spring concerts, band reviews, and the Catholic Schools concert with Serra and St. Francis High Schools. The concert band has always been evaluated in an annual competition held by CMEA. Last year, the concert band captured the Superior ranking with their thrilling selections, Sedona, In This Quiet Place, and Into the Storm, the band's favorite piece. This was only Riordan's second Superior ranking! The first superior ranking that Riordan's concert band received was back in 1956! The Riordan Concert Band will surely take this momentum into the next band season competing in band review concert venues and hopefully competing in the spring band reviews as well.
