The Archbishop Riordan Crusader Band is committed to pride, purpose, and performance. We proudly represent our community, our city, and most of all our school everywhere we go throughout California and the United States. The Crusader Band competes in the NCBA circuit and started competing in 2004 under the direction of Mr. Scott Souza.

Fairfield Band Review CALL TIME CHANGE:
Call Time for the Fairfield Band Review this coming Saturday (November 21, 2009) has been changed from 5:30am to 5:15am! Please make note of this! Buses will depart Riordan @ 5:45 for Fairfield High School.

Riordan Band Updates:
The Riordan Band has been having a fantastic fall marching band season! At Santa Cruz the band came in fourth place! On October 24, 2009, the band traveled out to Pleasanton to participate in the Foothill Band Review! The marching band garnered a third place trophy tie with Petaluma High School and Colorguard placed third with a trophy! Congratulations to our Marching crusaders for two successful competition performances! Our first Jazz Coffee House was held on October 28th in Chaminade Hall where many family, friends, students, faculty, and stuff showed up to listen to some great Jazz!


First NCBA Competition of Fall 2009:
The first band review for our Riordan Crusaders is coming up on October 17th. The Santa Cruz Band Review is the biggest NCBA band review with over 50+ bands in attendance from all over Northern and Central California. The call time for the event at Riordan is 7:00AM. We are still looking for more chaperones for this event! Please contact Mr. Souza!

Open House Performance Date:
The Open House performance date this year is on Sunday, October 25th. A call time will be posted ASAP. This is a mandatory marching band performance.

Band Booster Information:
The band booster page has been updated with all the info and dates for this year's meetings! Please check the band boosters page for all the information! We look forward to seeing you at the meetings! Please read the page if you are a band parent!


IMPORTANT: Scheduling Change for Holiday Concert/Boutique:
The Holiday Concert/Boutique will be held on December 6, 2009. The previous date December 13th has been changed due to finals week. So please mark your calendars for December 6th for our annual christmas concert and boutique fundraiser!

Hawai'i Spring Tour 2010 Information:
This upcoming Spring of 2010, the marching band and colorguard will be heading to Hawaii for our spring tour! The marching band has made an appearance in the Hawaiian Invitational once before in 2005. The cost of the trip and confirmed dates will be included in a tour packet which will either be given at Back to School night or to your sons to take home.

Marching Band/Colorguard Camp:

As usual, marching band camp will begin during the first week of August from August 3rd - 7th. Band camp is mandatory and will be from 8am - 4pm. More updates will be available as August approaches!
